This bright and airy apartment is on the 2nd floor (no lift but easy stairs) of a mid 19th century building. The owners live mainly in California so it's often available for our guests. The apartment is in a convenient Pimlico location, 1 minute's walk from the tube (Pimlico - Victoria line), 5 minutes from the River Thames, and 10 minutes from Victoria (main line rail station and tube - Victoria, District and Circle lines). Tate Britain (used to be called the Tate Gallery) is within 5 minute's walk.

The flat is spacious with high ceilings and is nicely presented: decorated in neutral colours and fitted throughout with attractive natural fibre carpeting. It has good views - at night the chimney pots silhouetted against the sky resemble a Mary Poppins stage set!

The Living Room

5 people are accommodated comfortably in two double/twin bedrooms and one single bedroom. There are two bathrooms - one en-suite to the master bedroom.

The entrance door opens onto a corridor off which run the rooms. At the far end on the right is the (16ft6 x 15ft9, 5m x 4.8m) living room. This faces SW so gets the afternoon and evening sun. Windows on two walls, including a pair of French windows opening onto a narrow balcony, give the room lots of light. There's a comfortable 3 seater sofa, two arm chairs, another easy chair and a 6ft6 solid wood dining table seating 6/8. Hidden away in a cabinet is the TV with normal terrestrial and cable channels.

The property has a wifi broadband internet connection.

The kitchen is small but modern and practical with all the expected appliances including a microwave and washer/dryer (but no dishwasher). There's a small breakfast bar and seating for 2.

Master Bedroom

Both double bedrooms are about the same size (15ft9 x 10ft6, 4.8m x 3.2m) and both have 2 x 3ft beds positioned side by side and good cupboard and storage space. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with large power shower, basin, loo and heated towel rail. The third bedroom is a single. The second bathroom has bath with hand and over shower, basin and loo.

The flat is within 5 minutes walk of several convenience stores, pharmacies, an excellent supermarket and a number of buzzy bars and restaurants; at Gran Paradiso on Wilton Road you might well spot an MP dining before returning to the House of Commons to vote. Westminster Abby, The Houses of Parliament and Big Ben are just a 10 minutes walk.
